Janice Tolj is the founder of Your Money Partner LLC, a Maryland practice offering daily money management for older adults and bookkeeping for small businesses. She brings more than 30 years of experience as a corporate Controller to both, helping individuals and business owners keep their finances accurate, organized, and up to date.
For older adults and their families, Janice handles the everyday financial tasks that can become overwhelming later in life: paying bills on time, organizing paperwork, reconciling accounts, tracking insurance and medical claims, and keeping records in order. For small businesses, she provides reliable bookkeeping, including recording transactions, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, managing payables and receivables, and preparing clear monthly financial reports so owners can focus on running their businesses.
Throughout her career, Janice has been responsible for accuracy, accountability, and careful stewardship of other people’s money. Most recently, she managed the finances of multiple real estate and lending entities, overseeing complex accounts where every dollar had to be tracked and reported. Earlier, at Johns Hopkins University, she handled federal grant compliance, working within strict government accounting and audit requirements.
Janice holds an MBA from the University of Baltimore and a degree in Finance and Accounting from Loyola University Maryland, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is a member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM) and follows its code of ethics and standards of practice. Your Money Partner is bonded and insured, and Janice has completed a criminal background check, so clients and their families can have full confidence in who is handling their finances.
She founded Your Money Partner on a simple belief: people deserve a trusted professional who handles the details with precision and discretion, whether that means helping an older adult remain independent or giving a business owner a clear picture of the company’s finances.
